A Healing & Informative Site About Narcissistic Sociopaths

The Truth

Crossing out Lies and writing Truth on a blackboard.

There is a purity in truth, a vulnerability, a rawness. When you tell the truth, no one can tell you you’re wrong (or, you can safely ignore the few who try). Except where your Sociopath, Narcissist is involved. When you tell the truth, you build a foundation. The truth is not an excuse to  hide behind while you say careless and insensitive things to others (“But I was just being honest”). That’s called being a douche-bag. And most Sociopath’s and/or Narcissist are douche-bag’s. On the very rare occasion, when they do tell the truth they in fact use that as an excuse to hide behind.

How many times were you asked by your Sociopath, Narcissist a question and you answered truthfully? Or you told them you were ‘going out with your friends’? Then the next meltdown with your Sociopath you were accused of being a liar, or when you were out with your friends you were a’ whore/slut just like them’? Sociopath’s and Narcissist are inter-personally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own goals and ideas. Because they cannot connect on an emotional level, they are the centre of the universe. Your truth’s, your idea’s just do not matter. The Sociopath will have the ability to take your truth and twist and turn it so that you may even second guess yourself. They will call their own children ‘liar’s. You may even have ‘proof’ of your truth, yet the Sociopath, Narcissist will still try and convince your that your lying.

Instead of getting into another one (of thousand’s) argument with the Sociopath, Narcissist, take a step back and realize, no matter what, you will not change their perception of yourself, your children, or anyone. This is so frustrating because you feel like you have to constantly be on the defense of your words and even actions. And in a sense, you are! The Sociopath, Narcissist will make you feel like your loosing your mind.  Their personality, their inability to see and hear the truth, is just one of the many personality disorder traits they have. As with all personality disorders, the difference between someone with a mild case of asshole-ism versus the full-blown personality disorder is that someone with the personality disorder has such severe characteristics that they are impaired in interpersonal interactions and daily life.

Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but not everyone wishes to be on the side of truth. richard whately

Yes, it is a good book. My blog is specifically about these same ‘snakes’ in their personal life.

Great post! Love this: “The truth is not an excuse to hide behind while you say careless and insensitive things to others (“But I was just being honest”). That’s called being a douche-bag.” LOL! We call it like we see it. 🙂

LOL…thank you @tojesmula.wordpress.com. At first when i was writing this post, i thought ‘maybe i shouldn’t use that term’ as not to offend anyone. But you know what? That is how I see the Sociopath, Narcissist etc. And since we are talking about being truthful, well…..they are in fact douche-bag’s! 🙂
